Twenty three hula halau from across Hawaii set to compete in 40th Annual Queen Lili'uokalani Keiki Hula competition

The Kalihi-Palama Culture & Arts Society, Inc. is presenting the 40th Annual Queen Lili’uokalani Keiki Hula Competition on July 23-25 at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center Arena.  This competition was established in 1976 to provide a venue for children ages 5-12 to showcase their achievements in ancient and modern hula.   Four hundred youngsters will represent twenty-three halau from O’ahu, Maui, Kaua’i, the Big Island, California and Japan.

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Reserved seats are $14.50 for adults and $12.50 for children 4-12 yrs.  Tickets go on sale on July 3rd at the Blaisdell Center box office, by calling Ticketmaster at 1 (800)745-3000 or at the Ticketmaster website.
