WAIPAHU, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu rail guideway is making its way through Waipahu along eastbound lanes of Farrington Highway, making this the first time the guideway work is taking place within an urban area.
Drivers are urged to use caution and avoid being distracted by the overhead work along the roadway.
As a result of the new movement into Waipahu, rail officials say there will be a two-day closure of the left-turn lane from Farrington Highway eastbound onto the Kunia Road onramp headed toward the H-1 freeway.
The closure will be in effect from 8 a.m. Monday to 8 a.m. Wednesday.
