WAIANAE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Board of Water Supply crews are assisting the state in turning off the water after officials with the Department of Land and Natural Resources say that one of their 8-inch mains broke under the roadway entrance to the Waianae Boat Harbor Tuesday morning.
Honolulu police say the break was reported around 5 a.m. and is located about 150 feet from Farrington Highway.
DLNR spokesman Dan Dennison said they have hired a contractor to come in and do the repair work, and Porta Potty's will be brought in for use by the fishermen, divers and visitors who use the harbor.
Spinners Cafe reported having water, but its bathrooms are closed and water fountains are broken.
