A 24-year-old Makaha man is in police custody, accused of second-degree murder, Honolulu police said.
Officers arrested Nathaniel Kipi on Saturday at around 7:30 p.m. at the main police station on Beretania Street.
According to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, the arrest may possibly be in connection with the death of Kipi’s infant son. The Star-Advertiser reports his son, Tama Wilbur, died in 2013 due to abusive head trauma. The Medical Examiner’s Office ruled his death a homicide.
Hawaii News Now has reached out to the Honolulu Police Department, but did not received further details.
