Hawaii Meals on Wheels received a donation on June 26 from DTRIC Insurance Company, through a partnership with Aloha United Way.
The generous donation was all a part of the company's year-long charity giving program, called DTRIC Cares.
During May, the company donated $10 to Hawaii Meals on Wheels for every insurance quote that was obtained. DTRIC also gifted $2,500 to the organization. Overall, $10,000 was raised to support Hawaii Meals on Wheels and the local elderly and disabled community.
Hawaii Meals on Wheels, founded in 1979, provides home delivered meal service to frail elderly and disabled individuals who are unable to cook or shop for themselves. Meals are prepared then are delivered by community volunteers.
