Honolulu police have opened an attempted robbery investigation after a Waipahu liquor store owner was allegedly assaulted by a shoplifter Tuesday night.
Emergency Medical Services transported a 67-year-old female to the Queen's Medical Center in serious condition around 10:45 p.m. after she was allegedlyattacked.
Police say no weapon was used in the assault at the Central Liquor store on Leokane Street.
No suspect description has been released at this time.
