'Burn'n Love', a show that traces through the exciting and historic era of Elvis in Hawaii and TripAdvisor's “#1 Show on Maui”, will show six days a week starting on July 14, 2015 in Waikiki's Magic of Polynesia Showroom.
This dynamic show features award-winning Elvis performer Leo Days backed by a full-scale stage production that includes a band, vocalists, dancers and incredible audiovisuals that include timeless photos, videos and recorded interviews of Elvis Presley in Hawaii. Created especially for Hawaii, and not found anywhere else in the world, 'Burn'n Love' is designed to showcase the time Elvis spent in Hawaii and our islands' influence on his life, his movies and his music. It also includes a special 1961 Pearl Harbor segment dedicated to our military heroes, past and present.
'Burn'n Love' premiered at the Maui Theatre on December 20, 2013 and has received phenomenal reviews from local and national media, and residents and visitors of all ages. Just days after its premiere, it quickly shot to number one on TripAdvisor, the world's largest and most trusted travel site, and has held that position ever since. Executive Producer, Mike Kattawar, has since been approached by several companies interested in bringing his show to various cities around the world and Waikiki was a natural fit.
'Burn'n Love' not only honors the time, place and historical significance of Elvis in Hawai?i, but the deep love that the “King” had for Hawai?i and its people.
“Two things we know about Elvis – he loved Hawai?i and he loved giving,” said Kattawar. “ In that same spirit, we are donating a portion of every ticket sold to Aloha United Way to support their efforts to build stronger, healthier communities across Hawaii.”
Elvis star Leo Days was born in Honolulu and has been an avid Elvis fan since he was three. He started performing as Elvis at the age of 15 and has performed thousands of shows and festivals throughout the U.S. and internationally. In 2009, Leo placed in the top 5 at Elvis Presley Enterprise's Ultimate Elvis contest in Memphis. He kicked off the inaugural Elvis Lives Tour in 2010, performing in 26 cities across the United States, and has been invited back to perform every year since its inception.
“I am so excited to return to Hawaii to carry on Elvis' legacy and honor his long history and love for Hawaii, with 'Burn'n Love',” said Leo Days. “Hawaii is such a special place, and I am very grateful to be able to be here and be a part of this amazing production. I can see why Elvis loved it so much here; I do too!”
