The United States Men's Junior National Team took home the silver medal at the 2015 Under-21 Pan American Cup after falling to Brazil, 25-22, 25-23, 25-17 in Gatineau, Canada. The U.S. finished second of seven teams, walking away with a 4-2 overall record with the University of Hawai`i's Kupono Fey andJennings Franciskovic making the 12-man roster.
The U.S. opened the Pan Am Cup last week sweeping Barbados but falling to Brazil 3-1 the following night. However, the U.S. redeemed itself with two straight wins over Mexico and Canada in the quarterfinal and semifinal, respectively.
Outside hitter Fey finished second on the team in kills with six, while setter Franciskovic saw action in set two and started set three.
The Men's Junior National team will next travel to Tijuana, Mexico, Sept. 11-21 for the 2015 FIVB Under-21 World Championship where they will face teams from Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Poland, Argentina and Russia.
