HAUULA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A fire caused approximately $120,000 in damage to a Hauula family's home on Kawaipuna Street on Friday night.
Honolulu fire officials said the fire broke out around 4:40 p.m.
According to the residents, the Tapu family, the fire damaged much of the back of the house. The house has spanned three generations since the original homeowner arrived from Samoa.
All occupants managed to get out of the home safely. However, a pet dog was killed.
The Honolulu Fire Department is still investigating the cause of the fire.
