HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Authorities closed Kalakaua Avenue on Saturday for the 2015 Lions Club International Parade of Nations.
The parade started at 9:00 a.m. and ended shortly before 2 p.m., culminating in the Lions International Festival at Kapiolani Park. More than 12,000 Lions marched down Kalakaua Ave. along with marching bands, motorized vehicles and display, showcasing their country traditions. The festival is open to the public.
The Bus will operate a modified route schedule for the duration of the parade.
The Lions Club International Convention will take place at the Hawaii Convention Center from Thursday, June 25 through Tuesday, June 30, 2015.
