Professor Lilikala Kameeleihiwa discusses historical perspective on Mauna Kea

Professor Lilikala Kame'eleihiwa talked with Howard Dicus to discuss the historical perspective on Mauna Kea. 

Kame'eleihiwa is the Director of the Hawaiian Studies program of the Hawai'inuiakea School of Hawaiian Knowledge at UH Manoa.

Trained as a historian, Kame'eleihiwa is also an expert in Hawaiian cultural traditions, and in the Hawaiian sovereignty movement. She has served as executive producer of the 2005 DVD Natives in New York, Seeking Justice at the United Nations, and as co-scriptwriter of the 1993 award winning documentary An Act of War: The Overthrow of the Hawaii Nation.
