Local students represent Hawaii at Asian Pacific Children's Convention in Japan

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A group of 11-year-old Hawaii students have been selected to represent Hawaii at the 27th annual Asian-Pacific Children's Convention in Fukuoka, Japan from July 9 through 22.

The ambassadors – three boys and three girls – were selected out of 40 applicants from Oahu's private and public schools, including Aina Haina Elementary, Maryknoll School, Moanalua Elementary, St. Patrick School, University Laboratory School and Pearl Ridge Elementary. They will connect with more than 200 students from 40 Asian-Pacific countries at the convention.
