Honolulu, Maui police searching for teen escapee

The Honolulu Police Department and Maui Police Department are requesting assistance in locating Paula Kahue-Miranda, an 18-year-old of Wailuku, who is wanted for Escape in the Second Degree.

On May 7, 2015 at about 10:30 a.m., Kahue-Miranda left the Hawaii Youth Correctional Facility, in Kailua, Oahu on an approved day pass. She failed to return back to the facility by 5:30 p.m. that same day, violating the terms and conditions of the day pass.

Kahue-Miranda is believed to have travelled back to Maui. She is known to frequent the Wailuku area.

Kahue-Miranda is described as an adult female, 5'4”, 125 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maui Police Department Non-Emergency number at 808-244-6400, 911 if it is an emergency or Officer Rusty Iokia Maui Police Department Juvenile Division at 808-630-9729.
