HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Fourth of July is just around the corner and firecracker permits will soon be available for purchase.
Permits will be available starting Wednesday, June 24 and will cost $25. The permits can be picked up at satellite halls.
Firecrackers may be sold to those with permits from June 29 to July 4 at 8 p.m.
Right now, there are no firecrackers on store shelves. Residents are being reminded that all other fireworks, including paperless firecrackers, fountains, and sparklers are all illegal on Oahu.
The Honolulu Fire Department is urging people to watch professional displays.
