Longhi's Ala Moana adds a few dining options for two upcoming festive holidays, Father's Day and Independence Day. A Father's Day brunch will be offered from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., as well as the full dinner menu with an osso buco special from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 21.
Then, on the Fourth of July, a special set menu will be available from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. for those seeking a gastronomic dining experience with an unobstructed view of Ala Moana Center's annual fireworks show, scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
The Father's Day brunch menu will boast a number of favorite breakfast selections, such as the Maine Lobster Benedict and Eggs Florentine both served on a toasted baguette, Italian Frittata with Hollandaise sauce, Grand Marnier French Toast with fresh berries, and 10-ounce New York steak and eggs. All breakfast selections will be served with fresh fruit and home-fried potatoes. In addition, more lunch-driven options will include some of Longhi's most popular salads, seafood entrees, sandwiches, chicken dishes, steaks, and pastas. Expect to find signature choices as the Maine Lobster Salad, sautéed Shrimp and Scallops Longhi, Classic New York Reuben with house-braised corned beef, Chicken Marsala, 5-ounce Filet Mignon with Sauce Bernaise, and Lobster Canneloni. Entrée salads will be accompanied by a gazpacho-style soup, while the seafood, chicken and pasta dishes will be served with sautéed broccoli with garlic, and a Longhi Longhi Salad of locally-grown baby Romaine, baked garlic croutons, and Parmigiano Reggiano tossed in an organic Bulgarian feta lemon vinaigrette. The sandwich and steak plates will have a Longhi Longhi Salad and pomme frites as an added bonus. The brunch menu items will range from $25 to $33. For those opting for an evening celebration, the full dinner menu will be available with a special, an indulgent white wine-braised osso buco topped with a roasted pine nut gremolata and served with mushroom risotto.
On July 4, Longhi's Ala Moana will present an exceptional four-course dinner for those who wish to enjoy Ala Moana Center's fireworks show away from the masses. The dinner will start with an Ahi Tartare Cocktail of fresh island yellowfin tuna dressed with sesame oil and soy sauce, followed by a decadent Lobster “Cappuccino,” a lobster bisque topped with Crème Fraiche and accompanied by a garlic butter “biscotti.” A choice among three entrée selections will include a Filet Mignon with demi glace finished with Boursin cheese and served with a chive pancetta mashed potato, Firecracker Prawns accented by a blood orange reduction and chili pepper-infused oil with a shaved fennel salad, and a Chicken Saltimbocca topped with fresh Mozzarella di Bufala and a sage browned butter sauce with mixed vegetables. As the denouement, a chocolate mousse bomb dribbled with white chocolate will be served with a strawberry compote and fresh blueberries. The dinner will be priced at $88 and $98 per person, with the latter price for those dining at a table immediately adjacent to one of the open-air windows.
