HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - More than 150 people are expected to gather at BoxJelly in Kakaako for the seventh annual Startup Weekend Honolulu.
From June 19 to 21, participants will work to pitch business ideas to a room full of strangers, vote for the best ones, form teams and bring a business to life in just 54 hours. The top 15 ideas are then selected and teams will develop around each concept.
While the event typically attracts a mix of programmers, graphic designers, engineers and entrepreneurs, organizers encourage any professional background to participate, including students. This event provides an easy access point for people to launch or join a startup.
Bryan Butteling, organizer of the event, spoke with Howard to provide more information.
