Cherry Blossom Festival seeks applicants for next queen

The Cherry Blossom Festival is currently accepting applications for its next queen.
Queen contestants are selected for their dedication to perpetuating Japanese culture, commitment to education and passion for community service. The experience, which culminates in March 2016 with the festival ball and coronation ceremony, includes months of exposure to different forms of Japanese culture, including taiko, team ceremony, bon dance as well as public speaking and community service activities.
Queen Kimberly Takata and the Cherry Blossom court -- Rosalei Chinen, Jessica Kaneshiro, Celina Quach, Kyla Teramoto and Heather Miura -- joined Billy V with more details.
