HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Hawaii Symphony met a Wong Family Foundation $100,000 matching grant, and now another family foundation is offering a $200,000 matching grant, matching your donation 2-tio-1. They've already raised a third of it.

The former CFO of Hawaiian Airlines takes a similar post that will keep him in Hawaii. Scott Topping, who was treasurer of Southwest Airlines before joining Hawaiian, is now CFO of Kamehameha Schools.

Hilton Hawaiian Village raids a sister resort for a new executive chief. Charles Charbonneau comes from Hilton Waikoloa Village, and two decades of posts on the mainland before that.

Invented especially for the occasion, a product they call Mahalo-Halo. The owners, who are Filipino, say Waipahu is perfect for their launch because 55 percent of Waipahu residents are Filipino-American.
