Pali Hwy reopened after critical motorcycle crash

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Honolulu police are investigating a motorcycle crash on Pali Hwy. that left a man in critical condition Saturday morning.

Police say at approximately 6:30 a.m., the 27-year-old man was traveling town bound on Pali Hwy near Waokanaka Rd. when he lost control of the motorcycle he was operating, hit a guardrail and was ejected off the bike.

He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

The victim was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. It does not look like speed is a contributing factor at this time, according to HPD.

HPD closed a portion of Pali Hwy. for about 2 hours while they conducted their investigation.
