NORTH SHORE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Oahu's Seven Mile Miracle on the North Shore serves as a grand stage for the 27th Annual North Shore Swim Series presented by
Surf n' Sea. Created in the late 80's, the North Shore Swim Series is a community favorite for those looking to experience unique open water swim races in a variety of distances and locations along Oahu's fabled North Shore.
"The North Shore Swim Series is like no other swim event in Hawaii," Race Director Chris Gardner shares. "We offer picturesque swims that include iconic venues like Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay and Chun's Reef. Swimmers of all ages and abilities come out to participate and we look to provide the best experience possible for everyone."
With nearly three decades of ocean swimming in its history, organizers are pleased to offer 5 swim races over the course of the summer. Each swim showcases its own venue and race distance, staring with a 'Summer Sprint' one mile course at Sunset Beach. The North Shore Swim Series commences on June 13th and continues every two weeks thereafter.
Jayson Hagi and Nicole Hagi were crowned the 2014 North Shore Swim Series Overall Champions. Register at Active.com or mail in application. Entry fees start at $40. Early Bird entries must postmarked by June 1st. Each entry includes competitor's t-shirt, refreshments and age group awards.
