The Honolulu Gay & Lesbian Cultural Foundation is proud to present the 2015 Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival (HRFF) on June 04-07.
This year, the HRFF celebrates its 26th Anniversary as one of the longest-running Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) film festivals in the country.
The festival has expanded to two locations: Doris Duke Theatre on June 04 & 05 and the Consolidated Kahala Theatres in Kahala Mall on June 06 & 07. The festival site (www.hglcf.org) will launch on May 04, 2015 and festival passes can be purchased at that time. The site will include a full festival schedule with film synopses, trailers, events and special guests. Individual tickets will be available for purchase online starting May 21, 2015.
HRFF26 will feature their largest and most diverse schedule ever, with twenty-three feature films and twenty short films from around the world, including Hawai‘i, South Korea, Finland, Chile, Thailand, Philippines, Venezuela, Australia, France, Puerto Rico, Germany, and more.
HRFF26 will kickoff with the exclusive Red Carpet Event at the HMA Luce Pavilion on Thursday, June 04 at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Hawai‘i Premiere of Opening Night Film “Fresno” starring Natasha Lyonne, Judy Greer, Molly Shannon, and Aubrey Plaza. Attendees of the Red Carpet Event will mingle with VIP Delegate, Gold Medal Olympian and LGBT advocate, Greg Louganis as well as visiting filmmakers and other special festival guests. On June 06, Louganis will present the Festival Centerpiece Film, his award-winning documentary “Back on Board.”
HRFF26 will conclude with the Closing Night Film “I Am Michael” starring James Franco, Zachary Quinto and Emma Roberts.
