HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A group of potential future Olympic gold medallists have taken their training to Manoa.
The top-ranked USA women's volleyball team is in town this week for a pair of matches against #3 China.
It's the second year in a row Karch Karaly's squad has played in the islands as they upset then-number one Brazil twice last season.
The team has an edge being on American soil, but the player with the ultimate home court advantage is Kalani alum Tamari Miyashiro.
"You know, to get to an airport that I'm familiar with and ride in the bus and I know where we are going and you know, seeing some familiar faces it's nice," said Miyashiro, who is a libero for Team USA. "It kind of ties everything in back to when I was a child, leaving and then coming back, so it's good to kind of wind up here."
