Brown Bags winner sets sights on the big time

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Before 'American Idol', 'The Voice', or 'America's Got Talent', Hawaii had Brown Bags to Stardom. For more than 30 years, the local talent contest has been showcasing the finest Hawaii has to offer in singing, acting, and performing.

Bruno Mars, Jake Shimabukuro, Tia Carrere, and more have all graced the Brown Bags stage and have gone on to successful careers in the entertainment industry. Eden Kai hopes that he will be the next name added to that list.

The 16 year old Kaiser High School student just recently took home 1st place in the Brown Bags competition, but has no plans of slowing down. While constantly recording and releasing new music on his website, the self taught guitarist also hopes to make to L.A. in pursuit of his music career.
