KAPOLEI, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - West Oahu residents may hear sirens Friday as the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency and city Department of Emergency Management conducts siren testing.
The sirens will go off between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. near Maili Point, Ulehawa Beach Park, the Kapolei Costco and Kapolei Middle School.
Residents may hear the siren sound six to eight times during 30-second to one-minute intervals. During the tests, technicians will check that installation work has been completed properly.
