Wong ranks second among 2B in NL All-Star Voting

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The 2015 season has been very kind to Kolten Wong and  this summer, "Molten Kolten" has a strong chance at making an MLB All-Star Game appearance.

The Hilo native and Cardinals second baseman Kolten Wong came in second among players in his position in the first ballot of the National League All Star voting.

The Kamehameha-Hawaii alum received 582,238 votes and trails Dee Gordon of the Miami Marlins, who has 934,249 votes.

Wong currently has six home runs this season and is batting .337 through May.
