PEARL CITY, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu rail officials say there's a new 24/7 road closure that goes into effect starting Tuesday, May 26.
One eastbound lane of Kamehameha Highway, between Puu Poni Street and Kuleana Road, will be closed through mid 2016. Crews will close an additional eastbound lane from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. in the area. Two eastbound lanes will remain open.
On the westbound side, two lanes will be closed starting at 8 p.m. with some left turn lane restrictions.
Officials say 24/7 closures between Waimano Home Road and Acacia Road are expected to continue through summer of 2015.
