HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu Police Department is investigating two separate attempted child abductions that happened within an hour of each other on Wednesday afternoon.
A 10-year-old boy said a man held him against his will in Salt Lake at around 1 p.m. and then fled the scene. The boy was not injured.
About an hour later, a 14-year-old girl told investigators a man tried to kidnap her in Kalihi. She described him as a large Polynesian-looking male.
It's not clear if the two cases are related.
No arrests have been made in either incident, so anyone with any information is asked to call 911 or CrimeStoppers at (808) 955-8300.
