Honolulu police arrested 67-year-old Richard Gallarde Tuesday in connection with Monday's shooting in Ewa Beach. He was arrested along Farrington Highway at around 3:10 p.m.
The Honolulu Police Department is searching for an attempted murder suspect following a shooting that left a man in serious condition.
The incident happened at around 1:30 a.m. at an area known as “Hau Bush” or Oneula Beach Park in Ewa Beach, according to police. Authorities said a .22-caliber handgun was used during the shooting.
Both the suspect and another man fled on foot from the area.
Police describe the suspect as a Filipino male in his 60s. He is approximately 5'2” and 135 pounds.
HPD is continuing to investigate the incident, but in the meantime, those with any tips are asked to call police.
