HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaii could be seeing its next golfing star.
Mariel Galdiano successfully defended her title at the Jennie K. Women's Invitational at Midpac Country Club on Sunday afternoon.
The Punahou grad obliterated the field as she won by 15-strokes at 4-under par.
She never trailed once in the entire tourney.
With back-to-back wins in the state championship as well, she says she's pleased with her rising trajectory.
"It feels great, when I was younger, I didn't have much success back then," Galdiano said. "It was pretty rough and my dad kept telling me that it will all eventually pay off, so having all these wins is great and I can't wait to bring it to the mainland and everything."
