Science Camps of America has a program for 8th through 12th grader students who want to explore science outdoors.
Michael Richards is director of Science Camps of America, here on Sunrise to talk about the camp on the Big Island, at the Pahala Plantation Cottages in Kau.
There will be two camps held this summer. The Land and Sea camp runs from June 29 through July 8, focusing on geology, the forest, biology, the ocean, and the volcano.
The Air and Space camp runs from July 9 through 18, focusing on astronomy, climate and weather.
