Work furlough inmate in police custody after escaping

Work furlough inmate Sean Young is in police custody after he was located by authorities on Sunday afternoon. He is now expected to face an escape charge.

Work furlough inmate Sean Young returned to the Laumaka Work Furlough Center after work on Wednesday evening. But while being processed at 6:20 p.m, he ran from the furlough center office. State Sheriffs and HPD were notified.

Young is 31 years old, has brown hair and brown eyes, stands at 5'10", and weighs 203 lbs. 

Young is serving time for theft, unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle and criminal property damage. His next parole hearing is scheduled for October of this year. He also faces an additional escape charge when found.

Young is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program with pass privileges. Community custody is the lowest classification status.

The Laumaka Work Furlough Center is an apartment-like complex off Laumaka Street, one block away from the Oahu Community Correctional Center. Inmates assigned to Laumaka are either actively seeking employment or working in the community.
