Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach is once again bringing some ethnic flair to the east end of Waikiki on Cinco de Mayo, hosting its second pop-up in collaboration with Santacruz Taco Co., known for its authentic home style Mexican food.
To commemorate the day Mexicans celebrate their ethnic pride, Santacruz Taco Co. owner and chef Julio Gutierrez-Santacruz will be offering delicious selection of tacos, nachos, and baby back ribs in the Gallery Bar of Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach from 5-8 p.m. on May 5, 2015. Hyatt Place's bar will be serving cervezas, or Mexican beers, and tequila-derived cocktails to pair with the food.
Santacruz Taco Co. is hosting an action table in the hotel lobby, offering three inspired dishes available for dine-in or take out. To complete the fiesta flavors, they offer Dos Equis and Modelo beer, a Li Hing Margarita as well as a Cadillac Margarita, with options to upgrade the tequila from Jose Cuervo Especial Tequila Gold to Silver Patron.
“Cinco de Mayo festivities and flavors will spice up our visitor's experience and taste buds! We hope to establish our property as a place that brings the best local flavors from around the island right into the heart of Waikiki for both local residents and visitors to enjoy,” said Bonnie Kiyabu, Hyatt Place Waikiki General Manager.
Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach is located at 175 Paoakalani Avenue, at the Diamond Head end of Waikiki.
