All lanes of Moanalua Freeway have been reopened, according to police.
Honolulu police have blocked off two right lanes of Moanalua Freeway in the eastbound direction, near the Middle Street merge, due to a stalled truck and oil spill.
Police said the oil spill -- about 16 feet -- occurred at around 7:45 a.m. Thursday.
Honolulu fire crews are on scene clearing the area.
HPD advises taking alternate routes as the incident has caused a major backup in the area.
Life-threatening surf is again headed for north- and west-facing shores.
