Honolulu police have blocked off two right lanes of Moanalua Freeway in the eastbound direction, near the Middle Street merge, due to a stalled truck and oil spill.

Police said the oil spill -- about 16 feet -- occurred at around 7:45 a.m. Thursday.

Honolulu fire crews are on scene clearing the area.

HPD advises taking alternate routes as the incident has caused a major backup in the area.
