Hula dancers and lovers can enjoy the Hawaiian art form for 12 straight hours at the Hulathon 2015, hosted by the Iwalani Foundation with support from Na Mea Hawaii.
The event takes place on May 1 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Ward Warehouse. Participants can join in on the dancing with Kanoe Cazimero and Iwalani Walsh Tseu.
"There are going to be hula dances coming from all over town, even the country,” Cazimero said. "The Iwalani Foundation for breast cancer awareness, we started doing this project and what we are trying to do is raise the funds to produce the book. It's a pictoral of magnificient women of Hawaii. One of our long-term goals is to have a breast mobile that goes out to areas where our people can't come into town because early detection is key to everything."
Those who would like to participate can contact Cazimero at (808) 224-0767 or visit iwalanifoundation.com.
