New show to highlight local, amateur filmmakers

KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii (AP) - A new cable series is focusing on the life and culture of Hawaii's Big Island, and residents are being asked to submit their amateur video footage to possibly be featured in an episode.

West Hawaii Today reports Kailua-Kona residents Mason and Regina Farish and their production company, Farish Media Inc., launched the project to showcase unique aspects of the island as well as video created by local artists.

The show starts May 5 on OC16 at 7:30 p.m. Submission guidelines can be found at the show's website.
