HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A large north swell will continue to bring elevated surf to east-facing shores of the Hawaiian islands through Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

A High Surf Advisory is in effect for east-facing shores of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai and Maui until Thursday at 6 a.m.

Surf is expected to rise to 6 to 9 feet along east-facing shores.

Beachgoers should expect strong breaking waves, shore break, strong longshore and rip currents, making swimming difficult and dangerous.
