The Flood Advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. for a large portion of Oahu.
At 4:05 p.m. radar showed moderate to heavy showers gaining strength along the windward side of the Koolau slopes, with rainfall rates between one and two inches per hour. While most of the showers were over the slopes, communities from Kaneohe to Hauula can expect heavy downpours.
Stream gages in both Punaluu and Kahana streams indicate elevated water levels. Meanwhile, moderate to locally heavy showers continue to affect central and northern Oahu, from Waipio to Mililani to Whitmore to Haleiwa and Mokuleia.
This advisory may need to be extended beyond 6 p.m. if Heavy Rain persists.
