TURTLE BAY, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Three men were rescued offshore of Turtle Bay shortly after 10:30 a.m. after their vessel overturned.

The three men were diving about a mile and a half offshore of Turtle Bay when heavy winds and large waves capsized their 15-foot boat.

Officials say the choppy waves were at least 12 feet high and winds surpassed speeds of 25 miles per hour.

The owner/captain of the boat was airlifted from the water and brought to Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point.

The remaining divers were brought back to shore of the Turtle Bay Resort where they were attended to by local medical services personnel.

No injuries were reported and none of the individuals required EMS; one of the three men was not wearing a life jacket.

The Coast Guard issued a hazard to navigation notice to mariners for the adrift vessel.
