Authorities capture Laumaka escapee

Honolulu police located William Williams Tuesday evening in the Kaneohe area. He was arrested for escape after failing to return to the Laumaka Work Furlough Center Monday morning.

Work furlough inmate William Williams failed to return to the Laumaka Work Furlough Center Monday morning. He was scheduled to return at 4:30 a.m. State Sheriffs and Honolulu Police were notified.

Williams is 51-years old. He is 6'5” and weighs 205 lbs. He has light brown hair and blue eyes.

He is serving time for Theft and Violation of an Order for Protection. His next parole hearing is scheduled for October of this year.

Williams is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program with pass privileges. Community custody is the lowest classification status.
