City construction projects halted to ease traffic during ZipperLane repairs

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Mayor Kirk Caldwell announced that the following projects have been suspended in order to ease the commute for west side residents during the state ZipperLane repairs on the H-1 Freeway.

Board of Water Supply:

• Canceled today's lane closures for the water system improvement project on Kapiolani Boulevard in the McCully area.

Department of Design and Construction:

• Suspended rehabilitation of Streets Unit 66. Contractor is currently on Kapahulu Ave.

Department of Environmental Services:

• Canceled today's lane closure on Kamehameha Highway fronting Blaisdell Park for the Waimalu Sewer project

Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transit (HART):

• Today, there will be no rail-related closures on Kamehameha Highway in the westbound direction. Starting at 3 p.m., there will be no rail related lane closures on Kamehameha Highway in either direction.
