At Goodwill, they encourage people to do spring cleaning and donate their gently used goods to one of Goodwill's statewide donation centers.
Through donations, Goodwill is able to help people with employment barriers to reach their full potential and become self-sufficient. Goodwill Hawaii serves over 12,000 per year, placing close to 1800 into gainful employment. They are also proud promoters of sustainability, and by donating to Goodwill more than 11 million pounds were diverted from Hawaiian landfills last year!
To help promote their efforts, Goodwill is offering a “Spring Clean for a Cause” contest. Take a photo of you donating goods at one of their locations, upload on Facebook and you'll be entered to win fabulous prizes.
