Ken Cutting has been a Red Cross Volunteer on the Big Island of Hawaii for more than 20 years. He also serves as The Disaster Action Team's captain in Puna. Along with his volunteer efforts, Cutting was also a founding member of The Hawaiian Acres Volunteer Fire Department.
When Hurricane Iselle and Tropical storm Julio hit Hawaii in 2014, he went into action and helped the people of Puna with food, shelter, and delivery of medical supplies.
Although he is busy with a lot of logistical work, he continues to respond to individual calls as well.
