PEARL CITY, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - More 24-hour lane closures on a highly utilized Pearl City roadway are scheduled to take effect Monday night for rail work.
The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation said drivers should be prepared for additional 24-hour lane closures on Kamehameha Highway so crews can for column shaft and foundation work along the highway median for the planned rail guideway.
The following will be closed:
- One eastbound left-turn lane from Kamehameha Highway onto Waimano Home Road and the inside eastbound lane of Kamehameha Highway, between Acacia Road and Waimano Home Road, will be closed 24 hours a day.
- One westbound left-turn lane from Kamehameha Highway onto Lehua Avenue and the inside westbound lane of Kamehameha Highway, between Waimano Home Road and Acacia Road, will also be closed 24 hours a day as part of the column foundation work. Westbound U-turns will still be allowed at the Waimano Home Road intersection.
The 24-hour lane closures will continue until late 2015.
