Siren testing to take place in Mokuleia, Ewa Beach

EWA BEACH, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Residents in Mokuleia and Ewa Beach may hear siren sounds on Thursday as the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency and Honolulu Department of Emergency Management conduct siren testing.

Siren testing will occur at the Dillingham Airfield entrance from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. and at Iroquois Point from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Residents may hear the sirens sound six to eight times during 30-second to 1-minute intervals during those time frames. The testing is to ensure that installation work was completed properly.
