HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - It's been 50 years since the "Bloody Sunday" March led by Martin Luther King Jr. in Selma, Ala. The late Charles Campbell -- former Honolulu City Councilmember and member of the state House and Senate -- carried lei to Selma for marchers to wear.
The City Council will honor him in a special ceremony on March 11. Marsha Rose Joyner, past president of the Hawaii Martin Luther King Jr. Coalition, provided details on Sunrise.
