HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - When the Rainbow Warriors open the 2015-16 campaign, there's a chance Benjy Taylor could still be on the sidelines.
Taylor told Hawaii News Now on Friday afternoon that he's interested in accepting a deal that would keep him on as the head coach for one more year.
Last month, the school had offered him an extension, but he turned it down because of a clause that stated he could be removed at any time once a permanent coach was found.
Taylor says he'd want a deal that would keep him on for an entire season with guaranteed money and no interim tag.
There are no immediate plans for him to meet with the administration any time soon.
