HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a High Surf Advisory for the north and west shores of Kauai and Niihau and the north-facing shores of Oahu, Molokai and Maui.
The advisory will be in effect from midnight Sunday night through midnight Monday night.
Forecasters expect waves of 10 to 15 feet.
Beach-goers can expect strong breaking waves, shore break and strong currents that will make swimming dangerous. These conditions mean that only highly experienced persons should enter the water along shorelines affected by the high surf.
