HONOLULU - The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team got off to another fast start on the road but it didn't hold up as the 'Bows lost to UC Irvine 75-60 in Big West Conference action on Thursday night at the Bren Center.

Stefan Jankovic led UH with 18 points and a career-high 15 rebounds. Negus Webster-Chan added 16 points and continued his torrid shooting pace from beyond the arc hitting 4-6 on three pointers.

It was another good start on the road for the 'Bows (18-10, 6-6 BWC) who jumped out to an early 9-2 lead. Jankovic's jumper and three-pointer helped Hawai'i to the early lead.

UC Irvine would get it going and kept pace with the 'Bows until Webster-Chan's three pointer pushed the lead back to seven points with under five minutes to play in the first half. The Anteaters again rallied, running off seven straight points to end the half and even the game at 29-29.

The second half saw the Anteaters score the first four points and steadily build a lead that reached as high as nine points midway through the second half. Davis's two free throws gave UCI a 55-46 lead with 9:57 to play. UCI later went on an 8-0 run, pushing the lead to 20 and winning going away.
