Business Report: Crisis at a Glace - Dominique Strauss-Kahn

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - It's time for Crisis at a Glance!!! Special French edition. Oo-la-la.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn… do you remember Dominique Strauss-Kahn?  The head of the International Monetary Fund? Who stepped down as head of the International Monetary Fund? After a New York hotel worker accused him of rape?

The charges were dropped, and a civil suit was settled out of court… for a sizable monetary fund.

But Dominique Strauss-Kahn's libidinous legal limbo continued.  The man who thought he was on a fast track to the presidency of France faces other charges.  He went to a party full of prostitutes.  Strauss-Kahn admits going, but denies knowing they were ladies of the second shift.  French law permits prostitution but bars solicitation, so a conviction would be tricky.

But it's quite a comedown for a once high-flying official to be sitting in a courtroom next to a sex club owner and a disgraced former police chief. And what is Strauss-Kahn doing professionally these days?

Advising Serbia on its finances.

Which brings us to the thrilling conclusion of another, Crisis at a Glance!!!
