There's no doubt the 31st annual Great Aloha Run is a favorite among locals. The 8.15-mile course is great for first–time racers and casual runners, and fun for all ages, with more than 20,000 entrants last year!
But before taking on any race, you need to make sure that you are properly prepared to have a fun and safe race.
Dr. Frank Uhr, Kaiser Permanente orthopedic surgeon, chief of sports medicine and Great Aloha Run medical director, has some tips to ensure a safe and effective race and workout.
